Last weekend we took a stroll through the vast necropolis at Colma CA. In places you can turn and see rows and rows of monuments spreading out like a miniature European city.

This has led to it being called, “the city of the silent,” and also has given rise to a humorous motto among some residents: “It’s great to be alive in Colma.

  1. That is really great – I need to try that more often. You I felt that head cold too last week. But luckily shook it off just in time for the weekend. Be careful Marin folks are starting to come down with the flu.
