Here’s a few more of our fast becoming favorite model; Quetzal….(sorry about the title, that’s just the way my mind works)…I really wish I’d brought my paints, as I’d have loved to have done this pose with the full effect of the lava rock and silver necklace…Laurel (my wife) was working all afternoon to get the jewelery ready for the sitting!

Quetzal came back for her second three hour pose…much happier with how this one turned out vs. last week. The more times I draw a model, the better I get with their likeness, which I suppose only makes sense. I was also being more conscious about working larger to smaller, and getting the silhouette right before beginning to render in lights…

Monday Night Longpose….

so,,,have the head cold from hell today; eyes burning, sinuses thudding, wet cough, the whole bit…but I managed to make something out of our weekly three hour pose anyway…was quite a change of pace from yesterday’s frenetic marathon!  - plus we had an excellent model; super solid posing - if anyone’s around here’s looking for that kind of thing, I give her a 9.5 in the sitting still event!
