drawing blood…

Posted by tarosan on September 25, 2007

This past weekend I wormed my way into a mysterious ‘underground’ drawing event…fortunately I caught the grapevine on this costumed drawing session…

Imagine a late night sketching party set in a historic Victorian mansion…a bevy of darkly beautiful gothic lolitas swooning under the mesmerizing gaze of a elegant leather-clad Vlad…all I can say is this groups models are clearly professionals, the costumes are excellent and the music was atmospheric - it was a surreal night…looking forward to the next event these people create!

bay area models guild drawing marathon…

Posted by tarosan on September 18, 2007

This is an event that has to be seen to be believed….six hours, at least 80 artists in a crowded studio, 20(ish) models, posing in groups of 3, constantly rotating through timed drawing stations. It’s truly a marathon of figure drawing. The next one is coming up Nov 4. (info will probably be posted here).
