the people of the yak and falcon…

So, I’m thinking the other day, “I need more practice drawing animals”…after some noodling around for a subject that required animals… we have an imaginary tribe of nomadic supermodels, wandering the Siberian steppes, fighting evil, you know…game stuff…

a painter’s progress…

Posted by tarosan on April 3, 2007

Oil painting number 11. I’m sure I’m going to look back and cringe someday, but right now, I happy with this latest sketch. I’m getting over the anemic brushwork from my first few attempts. I’m pleased with the comfy pillow-ness too.

jen and roz…

It’s kind of cool when your models ask, “Can I bring a friend?”

I don’t often get a chance to draw two people at the same time - I can report, that it *is* twice the fun. Twice as many hands, twice as many feet…heh. The interaction between these two made for some challenging drawing. I’d like to do this with longer poses sometime - but for now: some 10 min sketches.
