and back again…

Posted by tarosan on November 23, 2006

Drawn flying back….Chicago is cold, but beautiful - if you like grungy architecture. I liked walking under the elevated trains. Very cinematic.

So, by co-incidence have to fly a few times next month, so while that suxors, it does mean more dooding :)

plane doodles….

Posted by tarosan on November 10, 2006

Whenever I fly I get a lot of drawing done…the waiting around, the enforced sitting still….

We should try this at work. “The art director has illuminated the seat belt signs….please remain in your seats…”

oracles

Posted by tarosan on November 10, 2006

I’m not sure what these strange robed figures are all about, but it’s definitely a theme that keeps coming up.

I call them Oracles. They seem to have that sort of feeling about them.

Until I started streaming out my sketching, I didn’t realize how often I drew these mystery women. I’m interested to see what happens with them next.

omg Liza turns 30….

Posted by tarosan on November 9, 2006

This could be the last drawing of Liza in her 20’s….somehow I felt a lot of responsiblity drawing today - it’s not every day you record a turning point in someones life, no matter how minor. Most drawings just go by, good, bad or just another tick on the learning curve. I’m happy this one turned out.

dragon on your back

Posted by tarosan on November 8, 2006

idea for a back design…not a great figure drawing (because it’s totally made up - not a good practice - inventing the figure frequently lets you down) - but whatever - it’s more about the design.

I’m trying to think about ways to do a tat like this without being totally cliche. This isn’t ‘the one’ but - there you have it…

inky carly…

Carly is the model we call SpiderGirl….our yoga supermodel artist designer. Gestures with her are always an adventure. You never know what joint is going to get dislocated next.
